Lasting Policy Journal

Editorial policy

Lasting Policy Journal aims to explain policy choices accurately and fairly. We make the scope of each article clear, distinguish description from interpretation and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and context

We check factual statements against suitable material for the subject and take care not to present a proposal as an enacted decision or an announced aim as a demonstrated result. Where the context is limited, unsettled or open to interpretation, the wording should say so. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error or ask for clarification.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions and conclusions are not for sale. Paid or otherwise supported material is labelled clearly as sponsored or partner content, and it is kept distinguishable from editorial articles. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.

Corrections and illustrations

When we confirm a material error, we correct the affected wording and make the correction clear in context where appropriate. We do not promise that every disagreement will change an article; we consider specific, supportable concerns. Some illustrations are AI-generated and are intended as visual interpretation, not documentary evidence.
